Shaune Ritchie Racing (SRR) can assist you with all your thoroughbred racing requirements. Shaune’s expertise and passion comes from a wealth of family knowledge.
Grandad Merv, a master horseman – loved two things, horses & people, in equal portions, and the degree of love and caring he showed towards both made him one of the great thoroughbred identities. Well remembered horses he trained were the champion sprinter Yahabeebe and the mighty stayer Terrific, along with talented winners; Blyton, Lord Metric, Not Again, Rustler, Ganymede and Apollo Eleven.
Father Frank, who Shaune once trained in partnership with, applies his craft from an adjoining property in Cambridge. The pair who share tie-up stalls each morning are often seen discussing the mutual objective of gaining the winning edge.
Brother Craig, Assistant Trainer to Chris Waller at the Warwick Farm Stable in Sydney, is also an asset to the SRR training arm, providing the Cambridge trainers with a reliable training base across the Tasman.
Ideally located opposite New Zealand’s largest training facility at the Cambridge Jockey Club, New Zealand trainer-of-the-year Shaune Ritchie (Racing) has gained an international reputation for his ability to win elite races.
Proven in New Zealand and Australia, Shaune’s success has extended to Hong Kong where his talent for preparing racehorses has led to success on the world’s biggest racing stage.
‘SRR’ has access to a range of track surfaces and facilities including a fully irrigated course proper for galloping, a synthetic track, both left and right handed flood lit sand and plough tracks, as well as an equine swimming pool, weighing machine and trotting ring.

The stable charges a very competitive daily fee of $NZ75.00 plus GST (15% Goods and Services Tax).
